🏛️ Nyambaatar H. has been relieved of his duties as Governor of the Capital City and Mayor of Ulaanbaatar. Munhbat B. Head of the Capital City Investment Department, has been appointed as Acting Governor in his place.

  • 📌 The Prime Minister’s decree was formally presented at the Capital City Administrative Office by officials led by Cabinet Secretariat Chief Enhbayar B.

  • 🏙️ Until a new Governor is appointed, Munhbat B. will temporarily oversee the day-to-day operations of the capital city administration.

  • ⚠️ The decision to relieve Nyambaatar H. of his duties was reportedly linked to rising meat prices and issues related to the management of the capital’s food supply.

🚌 During his 947-day tenure since October 12, 2023, Nyambaatar H. initiated public transport fleet renewal, bus modernization, and route adjustment measures, though some decisions faced public opposition.

💸 During his term, increases in road usage fees, vehicle taxes, and daily entry charges for rural vehicles traveling into Ulaanbaatar drew criticism for adding financial pressure on citizens.

🏗️ His administration also introduced 24 mega-projects aimed at addressing air pollution, traffic congestion, ger district redevelopment, and energy supply challenges. These included the metro system, Tuul Expressway, cable car transport, Selbe Sub-center, and CHP-5 projects, although concerns remain over the contractors and implementation of some projects.

⚡ On the positive side, the commissioning of the Buuruljuut Power Plant is seen as having provided certain support to the capital’s energy supply.

📈 However, during his 947 days in office, prices of meat and several essential food items rose sharply in the capital, increasing pressure on household living costs. For instance, bone-in beef rose by 100%, bone-in mutton by 126%, potatoes by 97%, and cabbage by 112%.

Are you running your business on incomplete numbers?

Most small business owners have financials, but few have financial clarity. There's a real difference between books that are technically up to date and books that actually tell you what's going on in your business right now. When accounting is reactive — updated when there's time, reviewed at tax season — you lose visibility exactly when you need it most. You can't tell which clients are truly profitable. You can't spot a cash flow gap before it becomes a crisis. BELAY's outsourced accounting team changes that.
