🌍 Mongolia Unveils Cultural Program Ahead of COP17

As part of preparations for COP17, Mongolia has announced a 12 day cultural program aimed at showcasing the country’s rich cultural and intangible heritage to international delegates and visitors.

A key highlight will be the “Nomadic” Festival, scheduled for August 21–23 at Taij Khairkhan Resort in Nalaikh, where participants will experience Mongolia’s traditional nomadic lifestyle, arts, and cultural heritage. Prior to the festival, the “Caravan of a Thousand Camels” event will be held from August 8–15 in rural areas, generating cultural content and promoting Mongolia’s unique traditions ahead of the conference.

The broader COP17 program also includes themed events, exhibitions, and tourism activities. Authorities have secured cooperation with more than 40 hotels across Ulaanbaatar and reserved approximately 1,000 hotel rooms to accommodate international participants, reflecting Mongolia’s preparations to host one of its largest international gatherings.
