🇹🇯 Tajik President Emomali Rahmon Begins State Visit to Mongolia 🇲🇳

🇹🇯 President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon has arrived in Mongolia for a state visit from July 20–22, 2026, at the invitation of President Hurelsuh U. The visit marks the first state visit by a Tajik head of state to Mongolia since 2009, underscoring the growing momentum in bilateral relations.

🤝 During the visit, the two Presidents will hold official talks focused on expanding cooperation in bilateral relations, regional affairs, and multilateral engagement. The two governments are also expected to sign a series of agreements covering trade, economy, education, sports, geology, mining, environmental protection, and industrial cooperation.

  • 🌏 The visit follows President Hurelsuh’s 2025 state visit to Tajikistan, during which the two countries signed 11 cooperation agreements spanning energy, agriculture, manufacturing, digital development, culture, education, and tourism. Mongolia and Tajikistan established diplomatic relations on 24 April 1992.

  • 🌱 As part of the official program, the two Presidents will jointly plant a commemorative tree at the Sky Resort Memorial Park, symbolizing the friendship between the two nations. They will also launch joint initiatives linking Mongolia’s “Billion Trees” National Movement with Tajikistan’s National Green Development Programme 2040, reinforcing cooperation on climate action, environmental protection, and sustainable development.
