👔 Purevdagva B. Receives 94.5% Support for Appointment as Mayor of Ulaanbaatar 🏛️

The Capital City Mongolian People’s Party (MPP) Committee has endorsed Purevdagva B. as the next Governor of the Capital City and Mayor of Ulaanbaatar with 94.5% support during its latest meeting.

  • 📌 The meeting was attended by approximately 76% of committee members, where the MPP Leadership Council’s decision nominating Purevdagva B. was formally introduced and discussed.

  • 🗳️ No alternative candidate was proposed during the session, resulting in Purevdagva B. receiving unanimous backing from participating members as the sole nominee.

  • 🏙️ The nomination will now be submitted to the Citizens’ Representatives Khural of the Capital City (NITKH) for formal discussion and voting. If approved, the appointment will be forwarded to the Prime Minister for official confirmation.

  • 👤 Purevdagva B. currently serves as the Secretary General of the Mongolian People’s Party and previously led the Social Democratic Mongolian Youth Federation. He has also held leadership roles within youth political organizations and public administration.

📑 According to publicly disclosed asset declarations, Purevdagva B. reported assets including residential properties, livestock holdings, and transportation assets.

⚖️ Under Mongolia’s legal framework, the Prime Minister retains the authority to appoint the Mayor of Ulaanbaatar following approval by the Capital City Citizens’ Representatives Khural.
